About Us

SPEAKUp in COLOR empowers vulnerable children worldwide to express their emotions, find their voices, and heal through storytelling and color. Founded by Julie Schindler, our programs and charity efforts provide essential education, emotional support, and community for children in need.
Our Mission is to:
  • Empower Emotional Expression: Through color-based learning, we help children understand and express complex emotions safely.
  • Provide Educational Support: Fund school supplies, uniforms, and boarding for academic opportunities, setting a foundation for their future.
  • Foster Community Resilience: Support Celecho Orphanage in building self-sustaining projects and a permanent home for children.
  • Nurture Self-Confidence and Voice: Equip children with tools for self-regulation, creativity, and confidence to speak up and advocate for their dreams.

RAINBOW RISE UP Lifting UP the Voices of Children

We give children at Celecho Orphanage a platform to express themselves, develop emotional strength, and connect through storytelling and color, empowering them to SPEAKUp in COLOR with confidence.

Our Strategy

1. Create Emotional Pathways through Color Learning
We use Social Emotional Learning (SEL) to teach children to “color their emotions,” offering online Saturday classes to build self-regulation skills and emotional understanding, one color at a time.
2. Develop Self-Sustaining Community Projects
By funding entrepreneurial projects like a clothing business in Monze, Zambia, we help the Celecho Orphanage work towards financial independence, providing for their daily needs and reducing reliance on external funding.
3. Build Educational Foundations for a Brighter Future
We support children’s education from primary school through to higher education, sponsoring uniforms, books, and scholarships. Our School of Color project aims to provide a dedicated learning space and a computer lab for ongoing academic and personal growth.
